Answers to the things people ask most. If yours isn't here, write to us — we read every message.
During a game
- How do I log a goal?
- Tap your team's score. Pick the scorer's number, then up to two assists. The clock pauses automatically while you do it if you've left that setting on.
- I tapped the wrong scorer.
- Swipe the goal in the game timeline and choose Edit. You can change the scorer, the assists and the time without deleting anything.
- Can I keep score without a signal?
- Yes. Everything is saved on your phone first, so a hall with no reception changes nothing. It syncs to your account as soon as you're back online. Only the Live Ticker needs a connection, because it publishes to the web as you go.
- Why is the game locked on my other phone?
- A game can only be tracked from one device at a time, so two parents can't overwrite each other. Finish the game on the device holding it, or reopen it there and close it.
Video and Goal Reels
- Where are my recordings?
- In ScoreReel's own storage on your phone — not in your photo library, so they won't appear in Photos until you export them from Settings → Account → Export all media. Nothing you film is uploaded unless you publish a Goal Reel to a live ticker. On iOS you can also back them up to your own iCloud, which we never see.
- How do I get the clip of a goal?
- Record the game from the score tracker. Each goal you log becomes a bookmark, and ScoreReel trims the seconds around it into a Goal Reel with the score on it, ready to share.
- I deleted the app — are my videos gone?
- If you had iCloud backup on, your recordings are still in your own iCloud container and come back when you sign in again. Without it, deleting the app removes the local recordings.
Sharing with family
- How do people follow the game without the app?
- Turn on Live Ticker for the game and share the link. It opens in any browser — no app, no account. They see goals and the clock as you log them.
- How long does a ticker stay up?
- Game and tournament tickers both stay up for 24 hours, or 7 days with a Season Pass. The clock starts at the game's kick-off — for a tournament, its first game — not when you switch the ticker on, so preparing the page early costs nothing. You can disable or delete a broadcast at any time from the app.
- Can I stop sharing?
- Yes, at any time. Turning the ticker off makes the link dead immediately, and any clips published to it are deleted.
Children and profiles
- Can I track more than one child?
- Yes. Create a profile per child per sport — statistics and history stay separate for each. Switch between them from the avatar in the top corner.
- What happens if I delete a profile?
- It moves to recently deleted, where you can restore it for 30 days — the games, players and teams are untouched while it waits there. After 30 days the profile and all of it are permanently deleted, and that cannot be undone.
Season Pass and account
- Is the app free?
- Keeping score, recording and live tickers are free and stay free. The Season Pass removes ads and unlocks unlimited Goal Reels, longer tickers and every share design.
- How do I cancel?
- In your phone's subscription settings — Apple and Google handle the billing, not us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
- How do I delete my account?
- Settings → Account → Delete account. Unlike deleting a profile, this has no grace period: the account and everything in it is erased the moment you confirm, and nobody can recover it afterwards — not you, not us. Export anything you want to keep before you start.
